In 2019, Colin began volunteering to provide humanitarian aid in the Greyhound bus station to recently-arrived asylum seekers. These interactions taught him one simple, but profound lesson: I am you, and you are me. Ever since, Colin has served in various roles supporting ICDI’s impact on our community. He has served as the Director of Programs since 2024. Colin received his B.A. in International Studies from DePaul University.
In La’Kech (poem): “You are my other me. If I do harm to you, I do harm to myself. If I love and respect you, I love and respect myself.” – Luis Valdez
