Suzanne Akhras, born in Homs, Syria, serves as the President of ICDI. Suzanne founded the Syrian Community Network in 2015 to bring awareness and support for Syrian refugees who were being resettled in the United States. She led that organization for 10 years and currently serves as Corporate and Foundation Engagement Specialist for MedGlobal which provides emergency medical assistance to civilians in crisis-affected regions around the world.
