Vanessa brings years of experience working with families directly as an early childhood educator and caseworker for the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services. The ability to help families in low-income communities find opportunities for success, no matter the background or disparities they face daily, drives her passion for the work. Vanessa has a B.A. in Human Youth and Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
My grandparents were very involved with their church community and led by example. They instilled their values in me to show all people empathy and kindness.
