Development & Communications Intern (Fall)

Position: Development & Communications Intern
Duration: Fall Semester
Hours: Part-Time

Role: 
Join the ICDI team as an intern this fall! This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in nonprofit development and communications, contributing directly to our mission of supporting asylum seekers in Illinois.

Core Responsibilities: 

• Contribute to the creation and distribution of content for social media platforms, websites, and newsletters
• Assist in maintaining and updating donor databases and records
• Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry and managing correspondence
• Support various departments with projects and tasks as needed

Qualifications: 

• Must be 18 or older
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university studying social justice, human rights, communications, or a relevant discipline
• Strong experience working with social media
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Proficiency in using basic office software (Google Workspace, Canva, etc.)
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
